CONFRONTING THE ENEMY WITHIN (PART2)

Ephesians 4:27 – “Neither give place to the devil.”
INTRODUCTION
Many believers pray against demons, witches, and external enemies, yet continue to experience recurring battles because certain doors remain open within their lives. The enemy often gains access not merely through attacks from outside but through compromises, covenants, and disobedience from within.
SOME OF THE MOST COMMON DOORS BELIEVERS LEAVE OPEN
1. GENERATIONAL COVENANTS AND ANCESTRAL FOUNDATIONS. Exodus 20:5
Generational covenants are spiritual agreements made by ancestors with idols, deities, occult powers, or ungodly systems that continue to influence future generations.
SIGNS OF GENERATIONAL COVENANTS
★Repeated patterns of failure.
★Cycles of immorality.
★Chronic family afflictions.
★Strange limitations affecting several generations.
While every believer has redemption through Christ, ignorance can prevent believers from enforcing their freedom.
WHAT TO DO TO GAIN FREEDOM.
★Renounce every ancestral covenant.
★Declare your identity in Christ.
★Establish a new covenant relationship with God through obedience. Galatians 3:13
2. BROKEN VOWS AND PROMISES TO GOD
Ecclesiastes 5:4 “When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it…”
Many people make promises to God during times of crisis
Yet when the miracle comes, the promises are forgotten.
Broken vows create spiritual weaknesses because they reveal dishonor toward God.
CONSEQUENCES
★Delayed blessings.
★Loss of spiritual sensitivity.
★Open doors for accusation by the enemy.
WHAT TO DO
★Repent sincerely.
★Fulfill any godly vow that remains within your power to fulfill.
★Renew your commitment to God. Psalm 66:13-14
3. SOUL TIES AND UNGODLY RELATIONSHIPS
A soul tie is a deep emotional, spiritual, or relational bond that influences a person’s decisions, character and spiritual condition.
Ungodly soul ties can be formed through Sexual relationships outside God’s will.
Many believers cannot move forward because they remain emotionally attached to people God has instructed them to leave behind.
SIGNS OF UNGODLY SOUL TIES
★Persistent emotional bondage.
★Difficulty obeying God.
★Spiritual stagnation.
★Repeated temptation.
WHAT TO DO
★Repent.
★Forgive and release those involved.
★Break every ungodly attachment through prayer.
★Build godly relationships.
2 Corinthians 6:14 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers.”
4. IMMORAL RELATIONSHIPS AND PARTNERSHIPS WITH THOSE IN REBELLION AGAINST GOD. Numbers 26:9-10
The rebellion of Korah demonstrates the danger of aligning with those who oppose God’s authority.
Many believers suffer unnecessary battles because they form partnerships with people who openly rebel against God’s principles.
Whenever a believer knowingly joins hands with rebellion, compromise begins to weaken spiritual authority.
Warning Signs
★Constant pressure to compromise.
★Loss of prayer life.
★Declining passion for God.
★Growing attraction to sinful lifestyles. Psalm 1:1
WHAT TO DO
★Separate from ungodly influences.
★Choose covenant relationships that honor God.
★Walk in obedience and holiness.
HOW TO CLOSE EVERY OPEN DOOR
1. Genuine Repentance. Acts 3:19
2. Renunciation
Verbally reject every covenant, agreement, and association that opposes God’s will.
3. Apply the Blood of Jesus. Rev 12:11
4. Walk in Continuous Obedience
Freedom is maintained through consistent obedience to God’s Word.
CONCLUSION
The greatest enemy is often not outside but within. Every open door becomes an invitation to spiritual oppression. Today, God is calling His people to identify every hidden access point, repent, renounce, and walk in the liberty purchased through Christ.
As every door is closed, every legal ground of the enemy is revoked, and the believer can walk in victory, authority, and dominion.
DECLARATION
”I renounce every ungodly covenant, every broken vow, every unhealthy soul tie, and every alliance with rebellion. By the blood of Jesus Christ, every door opened to the enemy is permanently closed. I belong to Christ, I walk in obedience and I live in complete victory In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
