Don’t Lose Your Friends
I hear people say they don’t have friends, because, according to them, friends are dishonest, unfaithful and deceitful. How true?
The scripture says, “. . . and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.” (prov. 18:24) And in proverbs 27:10, the Bible says, “Thin own friend, and thy father’s friend, forsake not . . . for better is a neighbor that is near than a brother far off. ” friends encourage, protect, rebuke, council and help.
If your friends has deserted you as a result of your predicaments, don’t worry. It happened to Job. Job said, “All my inward friends abhorred me and they whom I loved are turned against me.” (Job 19:19) You see? You’re not the only one. Friends do disappoint, but don’t lost faith in friendship. The wonderful gift from God. God uses them to work wonders in our lives. We learn a lot from our friends, in good and bad times.
