You’re Alive

When I’m in a hot environment and someone comes in and says,” Oh, you’re sweating”. I just smile and say, “Yes, nature is trying to remind me that I’m still alive. The dead don’t sweat”.The dead have no enemies; even the devil doesn’t bother them anymore. The dead doesn’t fail; they don’t fall sick. The dead don’t experience heartbreaks. The dead bear no cross.

Question: do you want to trade places with them? The reason they don’t fail is that they have already lost the beautiful opportunity of ever trying anything. They don’t get sick because they’re already dead. They don’t experience heartbreak because they neither can love nor be loved in return. The dead don’t suffer, suffering is for the living, and so are opportunities, achievements, and glory.

Are you sweating through painful circumstances? Don’t worry; it’s a sign that there’s yet life in you. And as they say, “where there is life, there is hope”. Hope for victory. As long as you’re alive, you still have a great chance. Don’t throw that chance away.
