You Are A Virtous Woman
virtuous woman is in high demand everywhere in our world today! Her price is far more than rubies! The heavens are looking for virtuous women, who can truly represent God their maker and His kingdom on earth and fulfill God’s reason for their creation. Earthly men are also in great search for such women to be their wives. Children all over the world whether they be biological or adopted are also quietly groaning and searching for virtuous women to be their mothers, mentors, ministers and models; so that they would be properly molded and groomed to maturity by such virtuous woman.
As if that is not enough, many churches and corporate organizations are also seriously and quietly searching for women of virtue to help them mold and groom their young ones to greatness. The question has been asked in Scripture; “who can find a virtuous woman? And the great search is on everywhere for women of virtue. Can God and men attest to the fact that you are one? Becoming “a virtuous woman, wife and mother in value, vitality, vision and vocation is God’s plan for every woman. That is His perfect will for creating the woman.
A virtuous woman by way of definition is one who has such qualities of righteousness, decency, morality and purity embedded in her. A virtuous woman is a good and excellent woman all round inwardly and outwardly. She is one who abounds in many positive qualities. She is trustworthy, industrious, organized and loving. She is a woman who is able to order the priorities of her world. A close look at the description of the virtuous woman can prove invaluable in helping every woman set her own priorities in managing time, resources and her giftings
Becoming a virtuous woman thus begins with setting the right priorities. Firstly, developing and nourishing your personal relationship with God, seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Secondly, ministering to the needs of your husband. Thirdly, nurturing your children. Fourthly, keeping and managing your home. Fifthly, adding whatever other activities, time and energy permits and as directed by God to be a blessing to others.
The divinely inspired portraits of the virtuous woman as revealed in Scripture thus include a pleasant appearance, godly character without a materialistic mindset, efficiency and effectiveness in home-making and managing, seeing value in the mundane household tasks, helpfulness to her husband, all round attentiveness to her children, understanding the awesome task of producing the next generation, interest in her dependents and community, willingness to use her energies, creativity and determination to be worthy of honour and commendation. All of these and many more virtues that make the virtuous woman a treasure are however only possible as she becomes a new creature through the knowledge of Jesus Christ her Saviour and Lord. The glory of womanhood that was lost because of sin in the first woman (Eve) and led to the fall in the garden of Eden becomes restored in Christ with the new birth.
Prayer Focus: Lord, help me to become a virtuous woman all round inwardly and outwardly in Jesus Name.
